Seuvas Coffee Dyed Canvas Capsule Collection - Herringbone Trucker Jacket
$430.00
Seuvas brings us a new coffee dyed capsule collection taking three garments and presenting them in a subtle shade of “coffee” by garment dying them in spent coffee grounds from local cafes in their region of Japan. Here we have their Trucker Jacket; some great details mixed with a 23oz herringbone canvas that will age well with wear and washing; this workshirt is one which is a perfect accompaniment to a well worn pair of jeans.
This jacket is a great example of allowing the fabric to dictate the garment. This cotton herringbone fabric has a nice hand-feel to it and is comfortable to wear year round.
Seuvas is a brand dedicated to the art of producing canvas and cotton textiles of all weights. They even cut and sew all the garments in their own workshop in Kurashiki, Japan using vintage sewing machines so that the canvas reacts with just the right amount of puckering at the seams.
The only external branding on their garments is a single hand-made porcelain button made from clay ore (Amakusa pottery stone) mined in Amakusa City, Kimamoto prefecture, Japan. Amakusa pottery stone is a historic pottery stone that is a raw material which has been used in Japanese pottery since the 17th century. These porcelain buttons are designed by Seuvas and made in the traditional way in Amakusa.
Buttons:
Inspired by the laurel wreath buttons used in Levi's S506XX
Modified with a softer, rounded design to balance ruggedness with elegance
Button shanks are recreated based on vintage specifications
Made of brass with a matte silver plating
