These shirts have been mud dyed over indigo denim by hand in Amami Oshima, Japan. Absolutely beautiful and once the mud-dyed “overdye” fades away you’ll be able to see the deep indigo denim underneath.
Dorozome dying dates back hundreds of years on these small islands north of Okinawa and they're able to produce extremely deep earth tones by using local wood and mud from the islands.
