Mister Freedom’s Bubblehead CPO shirts have washed up on our shores. These shirts are made from a pattern…
…similar to their iconic MFSC Liberty CPO from 2008 (which we also stocked). This new version is made of Sugar Cane’s famed Okinawa denim which is made of a fancy blend of 50% cotton and 50% sugar cane fibers in a special 11oz weight. These things are beautiful, and available at all stores.

…the classic Type III jacket made of a true black Shinki horsehide. This comes in as a classic fit with just a hair of length added to the body. Fine Creek makes some of the most beautiful horsehide jackets we’ve seen. Using a vegetable tanned Japanese horsehide, which ages in a fairly fast manner, they cut and sew these jackets in their own studio in Tokyo. The quality of stitching is as good as it gets for a leather jacket, and we’ve not seen many jackets age as well as these do. Depending on the panel they’ll use a different type of stitch thread and thread count to achieve puckering in certain areas for added character. Now at all stores in limited numbers.

…THE WORDS OF HISASHI MORISHIMA, EDITED FOR CLARITY BY SELF EDGE: BONCOURA Z features a slightly deeper rise compared to the 66 or XX models, with more room around the waist and thighs, while maintaining a slightly tapered silhouette from the knees down. This combination ensures both comfort and a refined, clean look.

The back pockets are vertically elongated compared to the XX or 66 models and are reinforced with pocket linings at the bottom, enhancing both durability and functionality. The stitching is reminiscent of the meticulous design found in 60s XX models, capturing classic detailing. Of course, we are particular about the leather patch, and the deerskin patch is specially tanned from raw hide and features the red BONCOURA logo. The fabric for the pockets is BONCOURA’s original broken herringbone smooth fabric. The slip and waist labels are individually engraved with stamps produced on a vintage typewriter. The front zip has the BONCOURA original logo. All parts such as buttons and rivets are made from carefully selected materials with original logos. BONCOURA Z is the only ZIP model in the BONCOURA5P standard denim.

The rise is slightly high and there is plenty of room around the thighs, while it features a beautiful tapered silhouette from below the knees. The hip pockets are vertical and neat, and the roomy yet sophisticated silhouette allows for a variety of styles.
